Quick Steps for Success:
- ✓Confirm that you have the technology needed to be successful in your courses. "DeVry recommends using a personal laptop with administrative privileges to install Office 365 and other specialized software required for select courses. Chromebooks, tablets, and smartphones will allow some course work to be completed but may not be able to accommodate all academic technologies."
- If you have any questions surrounding your technology needed for class, please contact your Professor. For additional assistance you can contact the IT HelpDesk at 1-877-306-4283.
- ✓Download the DeVry Mobile App
- ✓Access your DeVry Student Portal
- ✓Login to the DeVry Community and connect with your peers
Review your Courses:
- ✓Enter your Canvas course shell:
- Go to Class
- From the Dashboard, you can enter your courses by clicking the icon
- Start with New Student Orientation, if you have not already done so
- ✓Once in your course(s), go to Modules to view your weekly breakdown of class
- Begin with the Introduction and Resources module to:
- ✓Within your course(s), click Announcements and read through your professor’s posts
- If you have additional questions on Live Lesson or Homework Huddle schedules you can message your professor through the Inbox
- ✓Get started in class by replying to the Introduction Announcement
- ✓For additional support on navigating Canvas, you can view the Canvas Orientation video located on the Home screen within each course
Customize your Account:
- ✓Personalize your Account by creating a Profile and adding a picture
- ✓Within your Account, customize Notifications to receive important updates in your class
- ✓Locate your DeVry email address in your Student Portal.
- *NOTE: Save your email address for later use when downloading software for your courses
